“To be always intending to make a new and better life but never to find time to set about it, is as to put off eating and drinking and sleeping from one day to the next, until you're dead.”
I went to a family friend's tribute on Saturday. Others might call what I went to a funeral, however, it was anything but. The above quote sums up this ladies life.
In simple terms the lesson I learned was that you shouldn't put off making a new and better life for yourself. Start today.
If you are in New Zealand then you have a day off today. Make use of it. Do some planning. A one page list of what you want to achieve this year, or in the next five, will get you fired up for the short week ahead.
Short weeks bother me because I really like what I do for a living. In fact weekends sometimes get in the way. But they do give you a breather to think about the week that was and the week ahead.
So take the time, be intentional and plan your life.
