Week One of the Lost Arts

Rediscovered this Holiday:
The Lost Art of Dish Washing.

Another book ...

Yes I have got a bit of time on my hands at the moment, but this next book was a very easy read.

Richard Hammond's,
Life on the Edge, tells the story of how Richard got to be a Top Gear presenter, the 288mph crash he survived and his recovery from it. The book is written with his wife Mindy and tells her side of the story as well.

I like Top Gear, and 'Hamster' would have been sorely sorely missed. Its amazing he survived and I recommend this book if you like Top Gear, want to know more about Richard and his life before and after the crash.

Books I've been reading ...

A common question over the last 4 or so years I have been writing the MondayMotivator is, "How do you come up with something every week?".

Answer; I read, a lot. I really like it and find as much time as possible to do so. Here are the books I have read this month.

Look me in the eye by John Elder Robison is great.

John was diagnosed with Aspergers at the age of forty and the story is about his life growing up not knowing why he was different, dealing with crazy parents, literally, success, and up to where he is now.
I really enjoyed the way it was written and found it hard to put down. Find out more about John here, http://www.johnrobison.com/.

Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis is an interesting book. I wasn't sure what to expect but the guy was/is crazy. From drugs to jumping of buildings into swimming pools to the world of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers he has really been there, got the t-shirt.

I liked it. A very honest account of his life and interesting to learn about the Chilli Peppers and where they get inspiration for their songs.

I re-read one of my favourite books, The Redemption of Althalus, by David and Leigh Eddings.

Pure fantasy. I highly recommend it.

I also finished
The Aladdin Factor by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. A book of theirs I had never heard of about the power of asking. Interesting and gave my the inspiration for a few MondayMotivators.

The meaning of Christmas

Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice.

Christmas shopping: Has it taken a few years off your life?
